DM Pottery

Denise McDonald is focused on making functional stoneware ceramics that bring a special occasion feel to the everyday actions of eating and drinking, as well has making feature pieces for our living and working spaces. She is currently best known for her Flannel Flower Range that features a 100 year old heritage pattern sourced from a Federation house window. She also adores utilising other Australian native floral motives including banksias, tea trees and scribbly gums.

Denise has developed an innovative way of bringing textured clay slabs to the potters wheel to make forms with a difference. She develops her own colourful glazes and fires in an electric kiln in her studio in Randwick, Sydney.
