Trade The Mark

Inspired by the surrounding bush of her Darkinjung, Central Coast studio, Christina McLean of TRADE the MARK uses clay as her canvas, creating bold, one-off ceramic wares that blur the line between art and functional ware. Intricately etched with sgraffito decoration, each brightly coloured vessel celebrates her devotion to a hand-crafted practice. Borne out of a deep love of the natural world, her work, like the bushland that inspires it, is constantly evolving. Her collection of bowls, platters, vases, planters and wall pieces bring originality and exuberance to our lived-in spaces.
