Eggpicnic
Eggpicnic is an acclaimed design studio dedicated to wildlife conservation, established by designers and birders Camila De Gregorio and Christopher Macaluso. We create art prints and public installations to combat wildlife extinction through education and garner public support for birdlife and wildlife worldwide. Actively supporting conservation programs, we donate profits from our work directly to scientific research.
In 2023, our work was selected to illuminate the façade of the Australian Parliament House and for Vivid Sydney 2023, featuring our animations projected on all four pylons of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Our art has been transformed into impressive large-scale public art installations commissioned by prominent entities such as the City of Sydney, the City of Melbourne, City Renewal Authority, Sydney Olympic Park, and in Bondi Beach. Recognised for our artistic excellence, we received accolades from the Sydney Opera House in 2019.
Collaborating closely with scientists, we initiated a joint research project with Dr. Kate Umbers from the School of Science at Western Sydney University, quantifying the tangible impact of art on conservation efforts.
In 2023, we also had the privilege of collaborating directly with Shepard Fairey, one of the most influential street artists of our time, and Randall Poster, a Grammy Award-winning music supervisor for Wes Anderson and Martin Scorsese.
